Description
A polychromed carving of St. Barbara 18th century.
A patron saint of the artillerymen and miners. Has a hollow back
or not carved in the round. Arm has been repaired otherwise in
good condition. Hanging on the wall suits this carving. As an added
note it is rare to find a carving that is not missing any parts, for example
an arm, hand etc. The carved hands are very well done as a lot of carvings
have hands that are poorly done. A testament to the artist.
Size: H. 30 in.
